Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on the 8th of July, 1989 in Paris. As a young girl, she moved from London to Oxfordshire where she attended the Dragon School. Emma had a dream to become an actor when she was just at the age of six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford which is an acting academy that offers part-time classes. Her performances had been in numerous Stagecoach as well as school plays by the time she was ten years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent via her Oxford teacher. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight consecutive auditions. Emma's first appearance on the big screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that was released in the year 2001. It was the highest-grossing film of 2001, the film set records for its debut day revenue as well as its opening weekend earnings. The film was praised by critics who praised the film, and especially those who were young. The Daily Telegraph in Britain, which is widely distributed the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Emma received five awards in recognition of her work in the movie.
