Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress, best known for the films Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. She was first known for her role in Tezaab from the 1980s and Tezaab, which she co-starred along with an established actor Anil Koopor. Next, she appeared with Aamir on Dil. Early on, as a child growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she learned to dance. When she was still in high school, she tried her hand at acting, but most of those early films failed. She eventually found success and went on to become one of the top actors in the Indian film industry. After her marriage, she took some time off from acting prior to returning. Recently, she had a major role to play in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is the fourth most prestigious civil award in India. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
